1. What do you mean when you say "Have a MIX day?"
A "MIX Day" is utopia. It's the best day of your life. It's something nice to say to somebody, so feel free to use it with people you like.
2. What does "you three" mean?
It's the standard response to "Have a MIX day." It's just one better than you too, if too was spelled two.
3. When do you do your news updates?
Roughly the top and bottom of every hour from 6am-9am.
4. How do you guys get to talk to all those big celebrities?
Jay is constantly on the phone with publicists, managers, agents, and even the stars themselves. We pride ourselves in treating our guests like guests and never ambush them. Because of that our guests like to come back, and they tell their friends and clients that they'll have a good time with us.
5. How do you prepare for each show?
Erica works on the news and avails herself to everything she can during the day (that's why she's so smart.) Scott comes up with most of the topics of conversation. Jay brings the contests and guests. It all comes together on the air as you hear it. No pre-show meetings to spoil the spontaneity.
6. How do you seem so awake so early in the morning?
We get a head start. Erica wakes up before 3am and drinks a lot of coffee. Scott runs every morning before the show.
7. Where can I get a copy of that Bang on the Drum song you play every Friday at 7:45am?
The original song is by Todd Rundgren, the animals were "MIXed" in by Scott, so it's not sold in stores.
8. Why don't we hear as much of you guys after 9am?
We begin our 9 to 5 No Repeat Workday and it's hard to never say the same word twice.
