05.25.08 - National Missing Child Day

Operation Find A Child is an online resource to help bring awareness to missing children cases and teach people how they can help. The application will allow current live missing child data to be viewed for any State (also UK) on your desktop. The cases will be rotated for your chosen state. You may download full state's data to you hard disk for offline viewing.

05.22.08 - Eleventh Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon
Join The Greater Orlando Chapter of ASIS International on May 22nd as they proudly host their Eleventh Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon (LEO AWARDS) at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. This outstanding annual function recognizes the “BEST OF THE BEST” among Central Florida Law Enforcement. 600 attendees, including the Sheriffs of four counties; Police Chiefs from area departments; Federal and State Law Enforcement Agencies; Directors of Security; and other business and community leaders are expected to attend. ASIS International (ASIS) is the preeminent organization for security professionals, with more than 35,000 members worldwide. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, governmental entities, and the public. By providing members and the security community with access to a full range of programs and services, and by publishing the industry's number one magazine - Security Management - ASIS leads the way for advanced and improved security performance.
05.24.08 - Carrie's Day
"Carrie's Day" will be held on Saturday, May 24th at the Ledgends Golf course on Highway 27 in Clermont, registration begins at 8am. Tee time is 9am, $65.00 includes golf, cart fee, lunch and raffle ticket. Call the Clubhouse to play 352-243-6370. The Clubhouse will have live music, a DJ, pool party, raffle tickets, bounce house for kids and a spaghetti lunch with garlic bread and salad. Festivites will take place from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. $10.00 donation requested.
05.31.08 - George DeSalvia Memorial Golf Tournament
Come join the 4th annual George DeSalvia Memorial Golf Tournament at Stoneybrook East on May 31st. Registration starts at 7am (golfers may practice after registering), 8am Shot Gun Start. The tournament is $75.00 per golfer and includes all fees and a full lunch buffet. Collared shirts are required, no denim and soft spikes only. Sponsorships are $125.00 - Pegasus Sponsor which includes hole sponsorship, $500.00 - Knight Sponsor which includes a hole sign, a golf foursome, awards banquet and lunch for four. The golf tournament benefits students at UCF majoring in Criminal Justice and is rememberance of Orlando Police Officer George DeSalvia who was shot and killed in the line of duty on February 3rd, 2000. George left behind three children and a lifetime of memories, a scholarship has been set up in his name at the University of Central Florida to benefit Crimial Justice majors.

The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide evening walk. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate the lives touched by cancer. Funds raised will support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Your participation will help save lives. Please join us in our fight against blood cancers, as we "light the night" with hope and raise funds to find a cure. Anyone can participate. Children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual walk with no fitness requirements. Check out our 2008 Walks!
